Magazine Layout

Description of Work The objective was to create a magazine layout with a pre-determined article. Challenges The goal for this assignment was to produce a layout with a provided article. We had to make it mimic a magazine that we found on our own. The magazine I choose to base my layout on was ‘Hackspace’. An additional goal was to get the text aligned correctly so that it was pleasing to the eye and people could read it without getting lost. I did this by using a baseline grid and measuring tools so that each article was the same width. Another challenge was finding images that fit well with the article, as well as went together. This issue was solved finding photos from the same photographer. Importance This is important because it shows that I have knowledge and understanding of visually pleasing layouts and typesetting skills. Tools Used InDesign
